The worldwide Ruhrgas Industries Group, to which Elster Metering belongs, was bought by the British firm CVC Capital Partners in September 2005. With its extensive product portfolio in the electricity, water and energy fields, the Elster Group, newly created as a result of the acquisition, is excellently positioned to continue building on the great tradition of its subsidiaries.
Elster Metering Limited is the successor of the long established Kent brand with a heritage for water meters extending as far back as the nineteenth century.
